Products are designed for technology rather than produceability, as it is in the commercial world. Due to real estate and weight limitations, these designs become very complex, requiring highly skilled engineers and production staff. This is crucial because the boards get so complex, and so densely populated, that they end up with poor produceability and testability.
In manufacturing products to military specification, we understand the rationale of longevity of products typically associated with weapon systems, and we are experienced in dealing with it. We deal with obsolete and hard to find parts so it is necessary that we have a good purchasing staff experienced in dealing with these issues. We are experienced with the tedious process of documentation, material traceability and process control.

Furthermore, we understand that government contracts are not continuous and in many situations no forecasting is available. Contracts rely primarily on government spending, budget and funding.
